Introduction

Find the Ball Pen Product Model, navigate from the Makersite Dashboard to the Environment apps, and from there we will review the data for the Ball Pen in the Climate Change Total app.

Overview

There are two methods of navigating from the Makersite Dashboard to the Environmental apps:

  1. The first is to use the 'Search' bar at the top left of the page, type the product name that you would like to analyze and select it from the list. This bar is available throughout Makersite, on all of the pages, so you can switch to any imported dataset in Makersite very quickly and easily. Select 'Ball Pen' from the list, this will open the 'Product Datasheet' page. You can then click on 'Product Datasheet' in the top left corner, this will open the app pop-up, select 'Environment' from the headings at the top, then 'Climate Change - Total' from the grid. This will open the Sankey diagram for the Ball Pen.

  2. The second method is to click on the 'Environment' button in the 'Makersite apps' list across the top of the Dashboard page, this will bring up the environment apps pop-up showing all of the environmental apps in Makersite. Select which ever app you require, for this example select the 'Climate Change - Total' app, this will bring up a search pop-up where you can type in the product name to find the dataset. Type 'Ball Pen' into the search box at the top, then select the 'Ball Pen' Product Group from the list. This will open the Sankey diagram for the Ball Pen.

Step 1

Locate the 'Search' bar at the top of the Dashboard page, click inside the bar to type.

Type 'Ball Pen' into the bar and a list of results will appear beneath where you typed. Once the 'Ball Pen' Product Group is shown, click on it in the list, this will then open the 'Product Datasheet' page of the Ball Pen (See Step 2).

Alternatively, locate the 'Environment' icon within the 'Makersite apps' heading at the top centre of the Dashboard page, clicking on this will open a pop-up, where you can select the desired app. (See Step 2)

Step 2

After selecting 'Ball Pen' from the search list, the Product Datasheet will be opened, locate the app drop-down.

Click no the 'Environment' heading, and then click on the 'Climate Change - Total' app icon from the grid.

This will open the Ball Pen Product in the Climate Change app, please skip to Step 3.

Alternatively, once you have selected 'Environment' from the alternate method in Step 1, a pop-up containing the available environmental apps in Makersite will appear, select the 'Climate Change - Total' icon from the grid.

Once an app is selected, a search pop-up will appear where you can search for your product. Type 'Ball Pen' into the search bar and the results will populate, select the 'Ball Pen' Product Group, this will then open the 'Ball Pen' Product in the Climate Change app, (See Step 3).

Step 3

Once the 'Climate Change - Total' app has opened, the page will show the Sankey diagram for the chosen Product, Process or Product Group.

The Sankey diagram may not show exactly as below, to make the diagram clearer you can use your mouse scroll wheel or touchpad to zoom in and out. The colored bars are also moveable, simply click on a bar and drag it to the desired location on the screen, if some of the bars have long names spacing them further apart can be helpful.
