Introduction

Life Cycle data has different levels of preciseness. Generic data provided by the common LCA databases includes a range of data from different sources with different quality, ranging from approximated or calculated datasets to data based on primary data e.g. association data.

However, when the data is used for your LCA the model(s), based on your data about your manufacturing (most precise data) it is used to identify the main sources of impact and therefore focus areas for the improvement of the model.

The improvement can be done through data collection at suppliers, more detailed scenario analysis or general research about the process.

Makersite provides the tools to:

  • easily build your LCA model with generic data

  • identify the hotpots

  • use advanced scenario analysis tools to improve your model

  • collect data from your supplier
