Introduction

FMD reports are used to review all of the materials or substances and their compositions across the entire product model. The report will provide information on each substance, such as the CAS number, the amount used of each substance in the product, and Concentrations in the Parent (the next level up in the BOM structure), and Root (the top level of the BOM structure).

Overview

Open, setup and review a FMD report.

Step 1

Navigate to the 'Pivot Manager' in the 'Business' section of the 'Makersite apps' on the Makersite Dashboard.

Then scroll down and select 'Full Material Declaration' from the list of reports.

Step 2

Type the name of the Product Group you would like to base the report on in the 'Product' field in the Information and Tools panel to the right of the page.

For this example we will use the 'Ball Pen' Product Group.

After the Product Group is set, there are three options beneath the 'Product' field that can be checked.

Exclude Substances: When ticked, this will not show any information for the substances associated with the items in the Product Group.

Full Model: When left blank, will instruct the report to only consider the datasets directly in the imported BOM. If the box is ticked however, the report will extend the assessment to additional datasets associated with attached IPC files and BOM's.

Save Report: When ticked, will not create the report on the Makersite page, instead an email will be sent to the address associated with the active Makersite account being used to indicate when the report is ready for use.

Step 3

Once the Product Group is set, and any options that are required are ticked, you can then click on the blue 'Create' button in the bottom right corner of the Information and Tools panel.

If 'Save Report' is not ticked, the report will load on the page.

One column to take note of is 'Weight', in the FMD report this does not refer to the mass of an item, instead it is a weight per unit.

With the report created the whole grid view can be exported by right clicking and selecting 'Export to...' and choosing which format to export to from the list.
