Introduction

A Chemical Grading Report can be produced for any Product or Product Group in Makersite which has at least one RSL assigned to it. Makersite will automatically cross reference materials in an imported Product or Product Group with the built in database of RSLs, as well as with any RSLs you have manually imported.

For more information on importing RSLs, please see the Import a Compliance List article on the Makersite FAQ pages.

The report will list any substances that are within in the Product Group, that are relevant to the selected RSL.

Overview

Open, setup and review a Chemical Grading Report.

Finding Restricted Substance Lists associated with a Product Group can be done by opening the Product Group's, Product Datasheet.

It may be beneficial to open a new tab in your browser to then start a Chemical Grading Report, this way you can refer back to the list of RSLs on the Product Datasheet if required.

Step 1

Navigate to the 'Pivot Manager' in the 'Business' section of the 'Makersite apps' on the Makersite Dashboard.

Then scroll down and select 'Chemical Grading Report' from the list.

Step 2

Type the name of the Product Group you would like to base the report on in the 'Product' field in the Information and Tools panel to the right of the page.

Then enter the name of the RSL you would like to review in the 'Restricted Substance List' field, located below the 'Product' field. If you do not know the exact RSL name, you can start by typing the country or region and the search function will start to list suggestions, you can then select an RSL from the list to use.

For this example we will use the 'Ball Pen' Product Group and 'GHS - Japan' for the RSL.

Save Report: When ticked, will not create the report on the Makersite page, instead an email will be sent to the address associated with the active Makersite account being used to indicate when the report is ready for use.

Step 3

Once the Product Group and RSL are set, you can then click on the blue 'Create' button in the bottom right corner of the Information and Tools panel.

If 'Save Report' is not ticked, the report will load on the page.

The grid view on the left will populate with a list of any substances in the Product Group that relate to the selected RSL.

Clicking on any of the 'CAS Number' or 'Substance' links will open the corresponding Product Datasheet where more detailed information can be reviewed, such as the GreenScreen table, and a list of RSL's the substance is included in.

With the report created the whole grid view can be exported by right clicking and selecting 'Export to...' and choosing which format to export to from the list.

For more information please see the Pivot Functionality article on the Makersite FAQ pages.
