QA Import Report Purpose

This bulk report displays information for all imported BOMs or IPCs, such as the date of import, how many times the model has been used, and in case of the BOM imports, critical information about any discrepancies in the weights. As a result, you know whether or not the BOM has been fully mapped upon import.

Prerequisites

You need to import your data to run the QA Import Report.

Running QA Import Report

  1. From the home page, go to Makersite Apps > Business > Pivot Manager > QA-Import Report.

  2. Set the Type of import to either BOM or IPC. The report will display import data for the selected category.

  3. Optionally, select Include shared data. In this case, your report will be queued and you will get an e-mail with a link once it's ready.

  4. Click Create. Report generation begins. You will get an e-mail with a link to your report once it's ready. Check the Jobs page for the status of your report.

The Import Report populates with information about every import into Makersite.

Weight percentage matched

The percentage of the total product weight that was matched upon import. It should take values between 0-100%, other values indicate either a data problem or a bug in the system. This is a key metric which can help you identify weight gaps which could lead to wrong environmental impact calculations.

Climate change

Climate change impact from the product in kg of CO2 equivalent

Weight per unit

Unit of weight

Weight mismatches

The difference between the total weight of a product and the actual matched weight. Ideally, it should be zero. Another key metric when performing QA on your data.

What's Next?

Check the Weight mismatches in the report for any discrepancies. If you find any, go back to the product mapping and make sure Alternatives are assigned correctly.
