Introduction

An Exemption Report can be produced for any Product or Product Group in Makersite which has at least one RSL assigned to it. Makersite will automatically cross reference materials in an imported Product or Product Group with the built in database of RSLs, as well as with any RSLs you have manually imported.

For more information on importing RSLs, please see the Import a Compliance List article on the Makersite FAQ pages.

The report will list any substances that are within the Product Group, that have exemptions.

Overview

Open, setup and review an exemption Report.

Depending on how many substances are included in the Product Group, the Exemption Report may take a moment to generate.

Step 1

Navigate to the 'Pivot Manager' in the 'Business' section of the 'Makersite apps' on the Makersite Dashboard.

Then scroll down and select 'Exemption Report' from the list.

Step 2

Type the name of the Product Group you would like to base the report on in the 'Product' field in the Information and Tools panel to the right of the page.

For this example we will use the 'Ball Pen' Product Group.

Save Report: When ticked, will not create the report on the Makersite page, instead an email will be sent to the address associated with the active Makersite account being used to indicate when the report is ready for use.

Step 3

Once the Product Group is set, you can then click on the blue 'Create' button in the bottom right corner of the Information and Tools panel.

If 'Save Report' is not ticked, the report will load on the page.

The grid view on the left will populate with a list of substance exemption regulations, the substances CAS number is shown in the 'Substance/Group/ column.

With the report created the whole grid view can be exported by right clicking and selecting 'Export to...' and choosing which format to export to from the list.

For more information please see the Pivot Functionality article on the Makersite FAQ pages.
