Fix a Mattermaps OAuth token error caused by the audience value

Written by Heinz Hambrock

An OAuth token request can fail if its audience value does not match the value expected by Mattermaps. This guide covers a missing trailing slash; it does not diagnose every token error.

Check and correct the audience

  1. Open the configuration or request that obtains your Mattermaps OAuth token.
  2. Find the audience value.
  3. Check that it matches https://app.mattermaps.com/ exactly, including the final slash.
  4. If it is https://app.mattermaps.com, add the missing slash.
  5. Retry the token request.

Expected result: the audience matches the documented Mattermaps value. If that mismatch caused the failure, correcting it allows the request to proceed.

If the request still fails

Contact Mattermaps Support Center and describe the error and the audience value you checked. For an integration migrated from SiGREEN, consult API Access After Migration from SiGREEN to Mattermaps.
