Mattermaps offers distinct user roles, each designed for specific tasks and responsibilities within the account, that represent those in your company.

Company admin

What are my tasks and permissions as Company Admin?

As Company Admin, you are responsible for maintaining the basic data of your company and always have an eye on user administration. You can invite your colleagues as users and assign the correct user roles.

In addition, you provide structure by creating business units with just a few clicks so that your team members can clearly sort products and components in Mattermaps.

First thing to do as a Company Admin, is to add factories where your company operates, add component identifier types and supplier identifier types. As a Company Admin, you can also delete your company's data if your project is finished and can also invite third party certifiers to your account.

Company Admin can view all details by default and will receive all email notifications as well.

 
 

Product manager

What are my tasks and permissions as Product Manager?

As Product Manager, you can:

  • Create products and associated bills of material (BOMs)
  • Create product carbon footprint PCFs for your products using the standardized PCF form and
  • Request verification from accredited certifiers.
  • Share the created emission PCF with customers by responding to PCF requests or actively sending your PCF data.
 
 

LCA Expert

What are my tasks and permissions as LCA Expert?

As an LCA expert, you have the product portfolio view

  • Create, report product PCF according to specific standards and methodologies
  • View PCF Requests and assign users
  • Review PCFs that have been received from suppliers and re-assigns the tasks to procurement managers if needed.
  • Accept or Reject incoming PCFs from Suppliers.
  • Add secondary data to components and decide if primary data from suppliers or secondary data should be used.
 
 

Procurement Manager

What are my tasks and permissions as Procurement Manager?

Do you act as a Procurement Manager in Mattermaps? Then supplier management is your area of responsibility: In Mattermaps, you create suppliers and assign them to components.

The acquisition of your suppliers' product-related emission values is also your responsibility as well: with just a few clicks, you can request component carbon footprint from your suppliers or specify secondary data from databases for missing CO2 values. Of course, you also have the option to store multiple secondary data sets based on different parameters, such as the manufacturing location of the components. You can then link the secondary data sets to suppliers. This allows you to create a benchmark and determine the PCF of those products for which components you have not received emission values from your supplier yet.

 
 

Factory Manager

What are my tasks and permissions as Factory Manager?

Do you act as a Factory Manager in Mattermaps? Then your focus is firmly on your products' emissions. Because as a Factory Manager, you store and maintain these emissions in Mattermaps. You have the option of transferring the emission values either manually or automatically.
