Introduction

Site data objects in Makersite represent physical locations in the supply chain, for example, factories and or production facilities, or warehouses. Any physical location a product or material passes through or is processed in can be added, to build a complete model of any particular supply chain.

Sites are owned by Companies.

A Site data object can be linked to a Company via the 'Owning Company' parameter in the Site itself, or the 'Sites' tab in a Company data object.

A Company can have many Sites, & a Site can have multiple Owning Companies.

Sites can be linked to Products via Purchases (products brought into the site), Orders (products outgoing from the Site) or inventory.

These objects contain data about the site name, address information, transaction data, Inventory & regulatory information.

From the Makersite Dashboard select 'Compose' at the top of the page, & select the 'Site' data object from the grid.

The 'Create Site' pop-up will open.

Enter the 'Site Name' & the Site's street address.

Select the blue 'Save' button in the bottom right corner.

The Site will be created.

The Site overview page will open.

At this stage the Site is not connected to any other data in Makersite, linked data can be added via the Tabs at the top of the page.

This Tab shows the general information about the Site; Name, Address, Country, Sector & Owning Company.

If an Owning Company is added, this will link the Site to a Company data object in Makersite.

Employees & their Role at the Site can be added here.

Any Products brought into the Site, i.e. the Site has purchased material or components to use at the Site.

Any Products that are sent from the Site, i.e. the Site has sold or transferred materials or products out to a customer, or another Site.

An amount of a Product Group can be added here to represent current stock levels at the Site.

An Activity is a Process that happens at the Site, the period of time & volume output can be set for a Process the Site carries out.

Permits for Substances that are used at the Site can be added here.

Create incident reports for Products at the Site.

Adding Products to this Tab will link the Product data object to the Site. Information such as Actual Lead Time, Average Lead Time, & Annual Volume can be added here.

This is required to allow the Supply Chain Report to function correctly.

Any goods leaving the Site can be added here.

This function is part of the Forecasting tools in Makersite. A Forecast Scenario must be setup first before it can be added to the Site in this Tab.

Collaborative discussions can be added here relating to the Site.
